Where Learning Inspires
At Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, we prepare students to excel in an oral healthcare landscape where technology is essential, and holistic, interdisciplinary care is standard. It’s also a world where shifting demographics require providers who can successfully treat patients from many different cultures and backgrounds, including those with special needs. Our intensive clinical program, where students work with patients every day and first and second-year students gain clinical experience as assistants, is known for producing dentists who are well-equipped to begin practice as soon as they graduate.

Equipped to Excel
RSDM’s one-to-one program provides first-year students with a Microsoft Surface that’s already installed with all the settings and applications they’ll need to fuse academic and clinical learning with digital tools and content. They’re equipped to excel from the first day of class.
RSDM’s dual degree program puts students on the fast track to attain advanced degrees alongside their DMD. We offer the opportunity to earn a PhD, MPH, or MBA. RSDM guides them through the time-saving process of earning both simultaneously.

RSDM is committed to providing students with the deep knowledge of biomedical sciences they’ll need to treat a diverse patient pool, including those with complex medical histories. Faculty who teach biomedical sciences collaborate closely with clinical faculty, so students gain a deep understanding of the interaction between oral and systemic health.
