Student Government Association

The SGA is the main governing body of the students.

Rutgers University Senate

A student is elected by the student body to represent RSDM in the Rutgers University Senate.

New Jersey Dental Association Trustee

A student is appointed to the NJDA Board of Trustees as a liaison between the student body and NJDA.

American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry

Since 2002, we have led the effort to improve the quality of healthcare for people with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

American Academy of General Dentistry (AAGD) 

AAGD was founded to introduce junior and senior dental students to organized dentistry and continuing education.

American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) 

Founded in 1947, AAPD is a not-for-profit professional membership association representing the specialty of pediatric dentistry. Advance optimal oral health for all children by delivering outstanding service that meets and exceeds the needs and expectations of our members, partners, and stakeholders.

American Dental Education Association (ADEA)

ADEA’s vision is for good oral health and a well-prepared and inclusive oral health workforce are integral to advancing overall health and well-being. To develop an inclusive, future-ready oral health workforce prepared to improve the health of all people and communities through leadership, education, and collaboration.

American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD)

AAWD dedicates itself to enhancing and promoting unique participation and leadership for women in organized dentistry.

American Student Dental Association (ASDA)

ASDA helps in facilitating the process by which students can become active participants in professional affairs.

Hispanic Student Dental Association (HDA)

HAD meets regularly to conduct business and address issues relating to all students, but particularly Hispanic students, through a peer initiative program.

Indian Student Dental Association (ISDA) 

ISDA is an association founded by South Asian dentists to represent their interests in the field of dentistry and provide outreach to underserved communities.

Student National Dental Association (SNDA)

SNDA was founded as an organization of minority dental students to speak to current issues, such as recruitment/retention of minorities, and future issues confronting minorities in organized dentistry.

Student Professionalism and Ethics Association (SPEA)

SPEA is a national, student-driven association that was established to promote and support students’ lifelong commitment to ethical behavior in order to benefit the patients they serve and to further the dental profession.

New Jersey Student Dental Society (NJSDS)

NJSDS is the student component of the New Jersey Dental Association. Every student is a member of the organization. Its goal is to encourage dental students to learn and take part in the political aspects of dentistry.

Clubs

Beyond chapters and fraternities, Rutgers School of Dental Medicine provides opportunities for students to explore social, professional, and educational interests. A variety of groups focus on a special interest, such as technology, oral surgery or implant dentistry, while others celebrate cultural heritage and wellness.
