This presentation will discuss the fundamentals of cleaning and shaping, and different irrigation solutions used in endodontic treatment of teeth. We will discuss different techniques of irrigation that are used conventionally and their limitations. The dental providers will learn about the advanced techniques off irrigation and how it can impact the outcome and prognosis of endodontic treatment.

Course Objectives

As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the need for precision in dental implant placement.
  • Explain current barriers from digital planning to analog execution.
  • Distinguish robotic implant placement from conventional methods.

Kapil Ramesh Jadhav was born and raised in Nasik, India. He is currently serving as director for the pre-doctoral students at the A.T. Still University’s Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He also practices as an associate endodontist in a private practice in St. Louis. He graduated from M. G. V’s K. B. H Dental College and Hospital, India in 2001 and practiced general dentistry in his private dental office until 2015. After moving to the United States in 2015, he completed his Masters of Public Health from the University of Illinois at Springfield. During his public health education, he worked as an intern at the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and was actively involved in community outreach and community service to raise awareness for people living with HIV/AIDS. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and continued to complete an Endodontic residency at the same institution leading to a Certificate in Endodontics. He is a board eligible candidate and is pursuing his board certification to be an Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He has a great passion for teaching and believes that knowledge is power and wants to continue his journey of lifelong learning and sharing it with others.
