Managing technology is like trying to nail Jello to a tree. Every aspect of technology is created by thousands of companies located all over the world that rarely, if ever, speak to one another. The fact that systems work as often as they do is nothing short of a miracle.
In a world where products routinely break for no apparent reason, maintaining business continuity can be a frustrating task. Marcus will show you the best way to manage unruly technology while protecting your data and maintaining business continuity.

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Explain onsite vs. cloud
  • Discuss the life expectancy of computers
  • Prepare your office technology for the best practices of HIPAA and security
  • Improve working and communications with computer support companies

Marcus Bing, BA is an information technology expert in Seattle, Washington, and has worked in the computer industry for nearly 30 years. Since 2001, when he formed his own company, Monroe Data Solutions, Marcus has focused his consulting and technical services on the dental industry. He enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry for his humor, honesty, and judgment, and he is among the best at making technology understandable and tolerable. He “Tells It Like It Is” and coaches his clients on working in today’s far-less-than-perfect digital world.

Marcus graduated from Wittenburg University (Ohio) with a BA in Business and Economics. After graduation, he worked for an international software development company where he watched computer technology evolve from mainframes to the variety of desktops/laptops/tablets/phones we know today.

Marcus provides pre-construction consulting for new or re-modeling offices, consults on hardware and software acquisition, and manages systems installation, integration services, system training, and post-installation maintenance services for dental and other small business clients. He fully understands what many people don’t know and what they need to know to successfully live with computer systems, their vendors, and support resources.
