This course will comprehensively review the theory and practice of fixed prosthodontics with practical information, illustrated with clinical cases and step-by-step slides, and with special emphasis on evidence-based dentistry.
Topics to be discussed and illustrated include:
- Modern concepts of tooth preparation design for complete- and partial-coverage fixed restorations.
- All-ceramic systems vs metal ceramics.
- Biomechanical principles of occlusion.
- Periodontal-restorative relationships.
- Restoration of pulpless teeth.
- Implant-supported fixed prosthodontics.
- Complete-mouth rehabilitation.
At the completion of this course, you will:
- Be familiar with modern tooth preparation designs.
- Know the indications for the various all-ceramic systems vs metal ceramics.
- Be able to apply the biomechanical principles of occlusion to tooth-supported and implant-supported fixed prostheses.

DR. MORGANO served for almost 20 years as Professor and Director of the Division of Postdoctoral Prosthodontics at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, the largest postdoctoral prosthodontic specialty program in the US. Dr. Morgano is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He has lectured throughout the US and internationally in 16 different countries. He has published over 70 articles in the refereed dental literature and has authored 14 textbook chapters.
