Bio

Dr. Fredericks-Younger is the Chief Clinical Officer in the Opioid Analgesic Reduction Study (OARS), an NIH-funded clinical trial led by PI, Dr. Cecile Feldman. OARS is a double-blind, prospective, stratified, randomized clinical trial investigating post-operative analgesia using the impacted 3rd molar extraction pain model. She was also a co-investigator for the Pragmatic Return to Effective Dental Infection Control through Triage and Testing (PREDICT) study, an XO1 grant funded by NIH. This feasibility study examined the implementation of COVID-related testing and triage procedures in private dental offices as it relates to the safety and perception of the safety of DHCWs and patients. In addition to her research endeavors, she has served in various administrative capacities throughout her tenure at RSDM. Currently, she serves as the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, responsible for overseeing the Dental School’s postgraduate academic enterprise, including all advanced education programs and master’s programs. She is an active member of various RSDM committees, serving as chair for the Planning Committee and the Vendor Committee.
