Department of Periodontics
Periodontics studies diseases of the gingivae and supporting structures of the teeth and their treatment. For patient information, go here. The department’s mission is to train predoctoral and postdoctoral students, conduct research and pursue scholarly activities focusing on periodontology. Our goal is to provide excellent periodontal care to the people of New Jersey. The department has a nationally recognized periodontal residency program with a world renowned and highly skilled faculty. In addition, we are an integral part of RSDM’s faculty practice, Rutgers Health University Dental Associates, which has offices in New Brunswick and Newark.
